Description
Overview
The B-183-BK Black Fluted Ribbed Ceramic Pedestal Basin pairs a fluted ribbed trapezoidal column with a classic trapezoidal bowl to bring an assertive, contemporary edge to modern bathrooms and hotel washrooms. As a semi pedestal basin it is carried by a shortened ceramic shroud that conceals the trap and supply pipework while leaving the floor beneath clear.
Architectural Aesthetics & Fluted Design
The design is built around a classic trapezoidal with deep horizontal fluting silhouette. Deep horizontal ribbing sweeps across the front face, and the deep black finish sharpens every ridge into a graphic line of light and shadow. A rear faucet platform is moulded into the deck so the tap sits above the bowl and water drains back cleanly without splashing the rim, while an integrated overflow guards against overfilling. The pronounced 3D fluting gives this pedestal basin a confident, modern character.
Ceramic Glaze & Electroplating Durability
Each basin is fired from a high density ceramic body and finished in a deep black vitrified glaze with a rich, low sheen surface. The vitrified surface is non porous and resistant to staining, scratching and everyday bathroom chemicals. Because the colour runs through the fired glaze, the black surface keeps its depth and is not affected by everyday bathroom cleaning.

Semi-Pedestal Installation & Wall Mounting
The semi pedestal construction combines the steadiness of a floor standing column with the compact footprint of a wall hung basin. A short shroud is fixed to the wall and to the underside of the basin, hiding the waste and pipework behind a clean ceramic face. Because nothing touches the floor, the wash point stays easy to clean and visually light, making it a strong choice as a wall mounted pedestal basin in smaller bathrooms and en suite wash areas.
